International Conflict Management with unique focus on innovative online platforms
Born in Canada and raised in Israel, Arik holds an HBA in International Relations from the University of Toronto and a Masters' degree from Tel Aviv University in Diplomacy Studies.
Following a political position at the Embassy of Korea in Israel (2009-2010) he set up his own independent consulting firm, focusing in leading and directing peacebuilding projects.
Arik works in cooperation with international organizations, institutions and NGO's such as: Israeli Center Of Negotiations (ICON) Search for Common Ground, Mitvim, The Peres Center for Peace, in frameworks that impact decision makers and civil societies.
Within this context he established two unique track II channels: a regional one and one with Turkish officials and academics and designed a new theory and methodology for a dialogue project between young Israeli and Arab leaders as part of the "Yala Young Leaders" online network (2011). He also facilitates a forum of prominent young Israeli and Palestinian business leaders that work for economic and political cooperation.
Arik teaches and lectures at the Interdisciplinary Centre in Hertzelia in the courses: Israeli Foreign Policy and international negotiations. He also leads a pilot program in international negotiations for high school students in cooperation between ICON and INSS.
He holds a mediator's certificate from Gevim Group. He attends and presents at international conferences on peacebuilding, cross-culture dialogue and negotiation. He is a US State Dept. international exchange alumni and a graduate of the International academy for leadership in Gummersbach, Germany.
