Professor Shirli Kopelman is a leading expert, researcher, and educator in the field of negotiations at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and Ford School of Public Policy.
A part of her academic research, Dr. Kopelman works on applied decision making processes during negotiations and brings her knowledge in executive education trainings in the business sector around the globe. Her main research interests lies in the cognitive and emotional realms and plays a central role in negotiations. Professor Kopelman publishes in leading academic research journals and her work has been featured in media outlets such as Businessweek, Fortune, and Harvard Business Review.
She holds a PhD in Management and Organizations from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Dr. Kopelman is President-Elect of the International Association for Conflict Management; Faculty at the Center for Positive Organizations; and Author of "Negotiating Genuinely: Being Yourself in Business", published by Stanford University Press.
